Supplemental Lawn Services

Fall Aeration and Overseeding

We provide this service twice or more a year depending on soil types. A core aerating machine removes many small plugs from the lawn which are left scattered across the lawn to slowly break down. The holes allow fertilizer and other beneficial materials to reach the root system more effectively, resulting in a deeper, stronger root system and more effective fertilization. While the plugs break down, they add a light nutritional layer of soil and microorganisms, which help reduce the thatch layer.

TICK CONTROL PROGRAM

Monthly Tick Control Programs are available April through November. Our technicians are educated in the life cycle, biology, and control of local Tick species. The technician will come to your property equipped with knowledge concerning the habits and congregation areas of various dangerous ticks. We don't apply our products to your lawn because ticks live and repoduce in woddy areas, shrub beds along fences, log & leaf piles, grass cliping piles and in un mowed grassy areas. We apply out products where ticks are most abundent.

We do offer Organic products and information is available upon request. Martino Lawn Care's tick control programs offer effective family oriented reliable service where your family's safety Is first.

Lawn renovations

If a lawn is in very poor condition often times a Lawn Renovation is recomended.

Many older lawns were established with common type turf grasses not suited for the needs of today’s homeowner. They’re often more disease and insect prone, requiring more fertilizer and water.

Overseeding newer turfgrass varieties into an older lawn can help it better withstand insects, disease, drought, shady conditions and heavy traffic. The investment in overseeding pays off by reducing the amount of fertilizer, water and pesticides required. Most importantly, a renovated lawn stays greener and looks thicker and healthier.
